Nate Harrison is heading into his 10th season as Head Boys Basketball coach at Canyon High School. During his tenure as Canyon's Head Coach, Nate has helped build one of the top programs in Orange County. Over his last six seasons, the Comanches have recorded six consecutive 20+ win seasons, have earned trips to the CIF semi-finals (2006), the CIF quarterfinals (2008, 2011), and were the CIF 3A champions & CIF State Quarterfinalists (2009), having won Century League Championships five years running (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). In 2009 Coach Harrison reached 100+ wins and was named Orange County Coach of the Year.

At the end of the 2010-2011 season, Nate has an overall record of 171-89 during his tenure as Canyon's Head Coach. He has also been head coach for five of the eight league championships that have been achieved by Canyon Varsity Basketball teams.

Prior to coming to Canyon. Nate Harrison made coaching stops at his Alma Mater Esperanza High School, Orange Coast College, and Northwood High School. Coach Harrison is very proud to have many former players competing at the collegiate level, as well as many others who have experienced great success away from the basketball court.

Coach Harrison also teaches AP European History at Canyon High School.

This is Chris's third year as a coach. He was a three year letter men at Canyon High School from 2007-2009. In those three years he was a three time league Champion, second team all league, and was a part of the CIF Div. 3AA Championship team. Chris is currently attending Santa Ana College, where he is going to school to become a fire fighter. Chris hopes he can help contribute to winning a sixth consecutive league title.

Stephen Coyne enters his fifth year as Canyon's J.V. coach. Over the past 5 years at Canyon his teams had a record of 80-37. Steve began his coaching career in the South Bay area coaching for 12 years at Palos Verdes High School, El Segundo High School and Peninsula High School. During his six years at Peninsula his teams won 4 Bay League titles. After moving to Orange County, Steve coached 3 years as the JV coach for Esperanza High School. Over those 3 years his teams had record of 49-24 and won 2 Sunset League Championships. Coach Coyne is a UCLA graduate with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. Steve lives in Anaheim Hills and is the proud parent of Jeffrey, 13, Ryan, 10, and Lucy 8.

This is Tom’s fifth year at Canyon. His teams have combined for 64 wins against 26 losses with three league championships. He played and began his coaching career at Esperanza High School and has coached throughout Orange County in the years since. Tom is grateful for the opportunity to work with the players in their development and success as basketball players and young men. Off the court, Tom and his wife Cyndi have lived in Anaheim Hills for the past 19 years and are the proud parents of two former Comanches, Samantha and Matt.

This is Will's third year at Canyon. He is looking forward to contributing to the continued success of Canyon Basketball as the Boys Sophomore assistant coach. As a graduate of Esperanza High School, Will was a teammate and classmate of Head Coach Tom Johns. Will has coached NJB basketball teams as well as youth softball and soccer. Will and his wife Angel have lived in Anaheim Hills for 19 years and have two daughters, Melanie, a Sophomore here at Canyon, and Stephanie a future Comanche, class of 2015.

Gregg Green is in his third year with the Canyon Comanche coaching staff. Coach Green has taught for 30 years and coached high school basketball for 17 years. He also resides locally in Anaheim Hills with his wife Valerie. They have three children all graduates of Canyon High School Garrett, Grant, and Danielle. Coach is excited about being a part of the coaching staff and looks forward to an exciting season.
